I am a Master Angler Instructor certified by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s ANGLER EDUCATION program.
Angler Education is more than just fishing. It is about the intricate relationship of all the components of a watershed. Students will learn how all these parts influence the social, economic, and environmental factors of their lives. They will develop an understanding of aquatic ecosystems while developing skills, knowledge, and responsibilities associated with angling (basic fishing skills, principles of environmental stewardship, responsibility and ethical conduct, safety around the water, preserving aquatic resources, maintaining healthy watersheds, and much more.
Students will receive the following materials:
First, is RESPONSIBLE ANGLING. This manual is filled with all kinds of information and many fun activities. Over many weeks students will go through each section of this book:

Understanding Fish and Where They Live

Giving Something Back to the Fish
Students will also receive an OREGON SPORT FISHING REGULATIONS booklet and a FISHING REGULATIONS worksheet.
Also included is the FISHING IS FUN book.
When students have completed these materials, a Fish Crew will visit your classroom and give a two-hour seminar on these subjects:
